教学对象与目标
This course aims at elementary Chinese learners, if you have never leant Chinese or just started to learn Chinese, you are interested in Chinese  and already have a student ID  in Fudan University and also have a computer for surfing on the internet, welcome to the course!
Learning this course, you will:
1) Goal of language point: Recognize about 200 key words and 20 grammars  as well as 50 Characters in Chinese;
2) Goal of language function: Understand about 30 language functions in interactions in Chinese;
3) Goal of language skills: Improve the skills especially in speaking and listening, as well as reading, writing and interpreting in communication with Chinese;
4) Goal of language communication: Accomplish about 36 daily communicative tasks  in the class and 7 out of campus;
5) Goal of learning strategy: Practice proper learning strategies to promote the leaning autonomy;
6) Goal of cross-cultural perspectives: Extend understanding of China and Chinese Culture from Global Perspectives.

The course use blende way (online and face-to-face) to delivery.

  • If more than four times (including four times)  not attend online courses or more than five times (including five times)  not attend face-to-face courses, you are not allowed to take the examinations 


  • 1st week: Introduction of the course and Chinese Pinyin

  • 2nd-14th weeks

    • Even Week 

    For the online part, students are required to:

        -Learn vocabulary independently, recognize the words and the meaning by the characters and the pronunciation;  

        -Watch the video of grammars explanation, complete the excises for the grammar;

   For the face-to-face part, students are required to:

       -Participate in various forms of oral or written interactive activities with the language points leant online , so as to  get used to communicate with Chinese  in  the real context in China;.

    • Odd Week

   For the online part, students are required to:

      -Watch the video of real communication in Chinese and understand the oral and written communication discourse;

      -Practice writing Chinese character and do exercises ; 

      -Extensive learning: watch the video of "Learners' voice" or  "Mini lecture on Chinese Culture" and give comments on discussion-board  

 For the face-to-face part，students are required to：

      -Participate in various forms of oral or written interactive activities with the oral and written discourse leant online , so as to develop cooperative and communicative capabilities in Chinese as well as extend the understanding of China and Chinese Culture from Global Perspectives.

After class, students are required to:

      - Do the real tasks suggested in every chapter 

      - Complete writing assigment.

  • 15th week: Preseantation  and Examination
