《Water Pollution Control Engineering》course offers a multi-disciplinary understanding of processes and methods of water pollution remediation and water/wastewater treatment. It’s designed as a core course for foreign students in related majors in Hohai University. The course is not only an important research field of environmental engineering, but also deals with social and economic development and life satisfaction. In this course, theoretical education, experimental teaching and engineering practice will be collaboratively provided. Students are required to know the basic knowledge of water pollution and aquatic ecosystem; to master the principles and methods of water pollution control, such as water/wastewater treatment, river remediation, physicochemical and biological techniques; to understand the new theory, new technology and new equipment of water pollution control engineering. This course aims to cultivate students' engineering quality and comprehensive application ability, practical innovation ability and teamwork ability, as well as the ability to apply professional knowledge and skills to solve complex engineering problems in water treatment engineering and other related fields.
