Get into groups according to the lines of your seats.
Write down those consonants which are not weakened while teacher’s reading the paragraph with most – but not all – of the underlined words as weak forms.

A. Read the information about intonation and then listen and write “↗” if the speaker’s voice rises at the end of a question, or “↘” if it falls.
B. Loot at the following sentences with relevant information and read them with rising or falling tones.
You will go to the cinema, won't you? (ask a question)
Mary will marry next month, won't she? (ask a question)
They went to the library, didn't they? (for confirmation)
Why don’t you call me?(emphasize “why” / me)
