I. Time Allotment

II.Teaching Objectives and Requirements

1. Develop the Ss’ awareness of involving of talking about personal experience about romantic problems.

2. Ask Ss to remember useful words and expressions about love;

3. Strengthen Ss’ ability to listen for the specific information about setting the scene;

4. Provide Ss some information about how to creat suspense and tell a love story.

III. Teaching Procedures

News report

Step1 Provide students information about " start-up", "dating manager", "matchmaker" and so on.

Step 2 Detailed study of the news.

Step 3 Summarize the news report.

Passage 1

Step 1 Lead-in

Prediction Task

Discuss what you think the passage will be about;

(For example: It seems to be a story of some people going mountain climbing. Something happens and two of them fall in love and later get married. I suppose the other climbers are also at the wedding.)

Use the illustrations in the reverse order and rephrase your prediction.

Step 2  Go through the vocabulary list and students can be familiar with them.

B.  Work in the groups of two and role play David and Amy and then check out their answers. .

Student A is David who will show his idea about their love story.

Studnet B will illustrate some details about their first met and her ideas about their love.
