A. Stress and intonation to express strong feelings and opinions.
When we feel strongly or have strong opinions about someone or something, we use stronger stress on key words, and greater variation in the intonation.
Work in pairs and take turns to read aloud those words to your partner. Compare your pronunciation with your partner’s and find out the difference.
Listen to the audio file and compare your pronunciation with the standard one.

Plosion
When words finish with /t/ or /d/, the final /t/ or /d/ sound in some words disappears completely or almost completely when the first consonant of the next word is /t/, /d/, /k/, /f/, /θ/ or / ð /.
