Course and Instructor Policies:
Thecourse grade you may earn reflects how you perform in this course throughoutthe semester. You are to obey the rules, do homework, take a final examination,and have class participation.
1. Attendance: Attendanceis mandatory. Absences and tardiness will reflect in a lower grade for thestudent. Students will get no penalty for the first two periods, but every twounexcused absences after the first two will result in a 1/3 of a grade penalty.Students who miss more than 6 (six) of the classroom study periods will not beable to complete the class. School business is exception.
2. Punctuality: Class starts promptly on time. Students should beon time.
3. Phones: Mobile phones are not allowed and must be turnedoff during class.
4. Copying/Cheating: Every student is expected to do his/her own work.
5. Plagiarism is a serious offence and will lead to a lowergrade and may result in the student’s having to drop the course. This shouldnot be a problem in these types of activities; however students must producetheir own work and not copy works of others on the Internet or other electronicdevices.
6. Late Assignments: It is essential that assignments be finished ontime. Late assignments may lead to alower grade.
7. Disruptive Behavior: Off-topic conversations, note-passing,We-Chatting, e-mailing, texting, chatting, doing other coursework during classwill not be tolerated.

SNUTH expects all students to display honest,ethical behavior at all times and under all circumstances. Academic dishonestyis defined as follows:
Cheating:includes, but is notlimited to: a) the use of unauthorized assistance in taking any type of test orcompleting any type of classroom assignment; b) assisting another student in cheatingon a test or class assignment, including impersonation of another student.
Plagiarism:includes, but is notlimited to: a) failure to give full and clear acknowledgement of the source ofany idea that is not your own; b) handing in the same assignment for twodifferent courses without the consent of the instructors.
Fabrication:the forgery,alteration, or misuse of any University academic document, record, orinstrument of identification.
AcademicMisconduct: intentionally orrecklessly interfering with teaching, research, and/or other academicfunctions.
Sanctions: Faculty memberswho find evidence of academic dishonesty have sole discretion to determine thepenalty, using their professional judgment. This can include a failing grade inthe course, or removal of the student from the course. Additional sanctionswill be imposed when a student is found to have violated the academic integritypolicy more than once; these sanctions may include suspension or expulsion fromthe university.
