Discussion: Someone says that parents are responsible for children’s crimes. Do you think so?
Key:
Answer 1: Definitely parents must be held responsible legally and morally for their kids’ bad behavior and crimes. People should think about this before having kids. It’s their decision they must live with, no matter how the kids turn out. Legal responsibility stops when children reach adulthood as determined by local law. Moral responsibility, on the other hand, lasts a lifetime. If an adult child does something really bad causing severe damage (death, for example), his/her parents are haunted by the incident as long as they live and likely they'd blame themselves. I know, sometimes things are beyond your control but you should have thought about this before having kids, or maybe you should have opted for an abortion instead.
Answer 2: It depends on the age of the Children. If they are teens, yes to a certain extent they should be held accountable. In the cases of pre-teens who do crazy stuff totally responsible. You need a license to own a dog but anyone can be a parent.
