Dr. Tong Wang is a professor of Mathematics at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. She received her PhD degree in Mathematics from the University of Houston in 2008. She was a visiting scholar at Texas A & M University from 2009 to 2010 and joined the faculty of the Department of Mathematics at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics shortly afterwards. She has been actively working in the fields of fluid dynamics and biomedical physics with a special emphasis on the rheological properties of red blood cells in microcirculatory system. She has authored/coauthored peer reviewed publications at various journals including Physical Review E, Scientific Reports, and BioMed Research International, and has been supported by funding from NSFC.
