WU Jian, Prof., received his medicaltraining in China and a PhD degree from the University of Umeå, Sweden. He hasbeen a Professor in Dept. of Internal Medicine, University of California, DavisMedical Center, Sacramento, CA, USA since 2009. As a Liver Scholar, Dr. Wu hasbeen a well-known expert in the field of drug, molecular or gene therapy forliver diseases. In addition, he has contributed considerably to the developmentof stem cell-based therapy for end-stage of liver disease, and to thecharacterization and eradication of liver cancer stem cells for improving theoutcome of cancer therapy.
