C:Good morning, sir. The free baggage allowance for economy class tickets is 20

kilos. Yours is 10 kilos overweight.I’m afraid you have to pay a charge for your

overweighed baggage.

P: Oh, really? How much wouldit be?

C:200 Yuan.                   

P: It’s OK.

C:I’m sorry to tell you that the flight todayisfull and we cannot accept all of your baggage. I suggest you send it asunaccompanied baggage.

P: What do you mean by unaccompanied baggage?

C:It means the baggage is shipped as cargo.It does not travel on the same flight with you.

P: I see. What’s the rate for that?

C: The same as cargo. You pay much less than the excess baggage charge.

P: OK, let it go as cargo.

P: Excuse me. I’m wondering if I can take my dog flying with me.

A: Yes. But you have to apply to the airlines when booking thetickets.

P:Can I take it into the cabin?  

A:I’m afraid not. According to our company regulations, pets can onlytravel in cargo compartments unless it’s a guide dog assistingthe blind and properly harnessed.

P: Should I prepare a container?

A:Yes. You should put it into an iron container and make sure that the excreta of your pet will not dirty thecargo compartment.

A: Do you have pet containers for sale at the airport?

P:Yes. We offer containers of different size at reasonable price. We charge yourdog and its container as excess baggage. Please also make sure that you have ahealth card for your dog.
