(S=steward   W=woman)

(A woman comes up to a stewardwith her boarding pass.)

S: Good afternoon, madam.Welcome on board.

W: Good afternoon. Could youplease help me find my seat?

S: (lookingat her boarding pass) That’ll be row six on the right, beside the window.Come with me, please. Can I help you with your bag?

W: Thank you very much.

S: You’re welcome. (A moment late) Here we are! This is thecall button. If you need

anything, please push it.

W: Thank you. And what aboutthis one?

S: This is the seat-reclinerbutton. If you push it, the seat of your chair slides out and

the back reclines, so you can relax and becomfortable. But during take-off and landing, the seat must be in an uprightposition.

W: Thank you so much. I’ll try it aftertake-off. Would you please help me adjust the airflow? It’s blowingright on my head. I feel a bit cold.

S: Yes. You can just turn the knobhere above you in whichever direction you like, or you can also shut it down byturning it tight to the right.

W: I see. Let me try. It’s allright now.

S: This is your seat belt. You should keepyour seat belt fastened when the plane takes off or lands. You just need toslip the belt into the buckle and pull tight.

W: Alright! Thank you very muchfor all your help.

S: You’re welcome.

P1: Thanks, I appreciate that.

S: (to another passenger) Excuse me, madam, are you alone?

P2: No, we’re together. This ismy husband.

S: Yes, of course. Sorry to bother you. (to another passenger) Excuse me, sir,is this your seat?

P3: Yes, why?

S: Would you mind changing it with thefather of the girl? The family want to be together.
