(A=attendant P=passenger)

A: Excuse me, sir. We’re goingto serve dinner now. Would you please pull down the

tray table?

P: No problem.

A: Sir, what would you like fordinner?

P: What’s the main course,Miss?

A: It’s beef with mushroomsauce and spaghetti.

P: Oh, anything else?

A: How about fish?

P: Actually I’m a vegetarian. Ican’t eat food with meat. Do you have any special meal for me?

A: Just a moment, please. I will check thegalley. (A moment later) Wecan offer you a vegetarian meal, sir.

P: Great. What’s that?

A: We have spiced vegetablestew with rice. Does that meet your needs?

P: Great. Thank you for yourconsideration. By the way, do you have other special meals? I mean, for Hindusand Muslims too?

A: Yes, of course. We caterfor everyone.

P: That’s incredible.You’re very thoughtful.

 

Dialogue 2

P: Excuse me, Miss.

A: Yes. Can I help you?

P: I’m very tired and sleepy. But I feel alittle cold. Could you please give me a blanket?

A: Yes, of course. I will beright back.

(A minute later)

A: Sorry, Ms. There is no more blanketleft now. May I switch off the airflow for you? It’ll be warmer shortly.

A: Sure. Anything else?
