Childrens and Infants Fares

Infants under 2 years ofage pay 10% of the applicable normal adult fare. They do not occupy individualseats. Only one such infant accompanied by a passenger 12 years of age or olderpaying the adult fare can be carried at such discounted fare. Infants under 2years of age occupying individual seats, or infants in excess of 1 accompaniedby a passenger paying the adult fare are charged the same fare as childrenbetween 2 and 12 years of age.

Children of 2 years ofage or above, but under 12, pay 50% of the applicablenormal or special adult fare. Those who have reached their 2nd birthdayshould be accompanied by a passenger 12 years of age or older, who is payingthe adult fare or traveling on a reduced fare ticket. Children paying 50% ofthe applicable fare are entitled to an individual seat. A minor, who is at least 8 years old but below 12 years of age,whether or not accompanied by a passenger paying the adult fare, pays theapplicable child’s fare. Children who have not reached their 8th birthday andwho are not accompanied by an adult (of 12 and up) pay 100% of the adult fare.

A child is consideredunaccompanied if not escorted by apassenger of at least 12 years of age paying the adult fare (or traveling on afree or reduced fare ticket based on a discountedfare for an adult fare). The parents/guardians of an Unaccompanied Minor(UM) are responsible for:

         making the reservationsfor the UM;

         providing name(s),address(es) and telephone number(s) of the person(s)escorting the UM to the airport of departure and picking the UM up at the airportof destination;

         ensuring that the UM isproperly escorted to the airport of departure;

         ensuring that the UM ispicked up at the airport of destination by the person(s) indicated; and

         making arrangements andmeeting the costs for the UMs care at a night stop, if necessary.

The UM must hold aconfirmed reservation for all sectors of the journey and must never be leftbehind or be offloaded. To ensure proper care duringthe flight, specific seats/ seat rows are designated as UM seats. Handicapped and sick children mustnever be booked as UM.
