To enable students to explore and apply relevant domain-specific design tools and practices. Students will develop software, interpersonal skill and domain practical skills in order to effectively contribute towards the completion of multidisciplinary team/individual projects. This module is complementary to Design Skill 2 and International project with each course containing discrete topics and projects. Learning Outcomes 1. Research and critically analyse a range of existing creative media relevant to a project brief 2. Demonstrate a broad range of creative solutions in constrained and complex contexts 3. Critically select and apply appropriate design tools and practices in response to a project brief 4. Demonstrate independent work as part of multidisciplinary team projects 5. Identify and apply principles and practices of multiculturism environment within creative and media domains 6. Conceptualise and describe potential creative ideas that encompass disruptive practices Content • Domain-specific tools and practices • Communication skills • Interpersonal skills • Critical thinking skills • Problem solving skills Teaching and Learning Strategy • Online/distance learning: Due to the pandemic, this classes will be conducted through Dingtalk live session • Blended learning: Working with on-the-ground co-teacher to deliver high Project, Inquiry and Studio based learning. Other methods will involve online activities, ePortfolio, tutorials, lectures, workshops, group activities, critiques, collaborative projects, as appropriate. Assessment Criteria The portfolio(s) is comprised of multiple components. Students must complete all assessments and gain an overall mark of at least 60% in order to pass this module. The portfolio is comprised of multiple components. Students need to provide sufficient evidence against all learning outcomes and gain an overall mark of 50 in order to pass this module.
